7/8 size violins are not very common. Once known as "ladies" violins, they can be a good choice for someone that finds a 4/4 violin to be too big. Made to the same standards as comparable 4/4 violin in a slightly smaller size for players with smaller hands and/or arms. Made in Romania, these violins typically have a nice, rich, dark tone not often found in violins in this price range. Matt finish is slightly antiqued to look older. Aged tonewood is straight, and attractively finished with mild shading. Ebony fittings, inlaid purfling, setup and adjusted in our shop to play great! Instrument only. Select a case and bow for package price if desired. Package 1 includes a 4/4 size CP-03 oblong case and a 4/4 or 3/4 5A German brazilwood bow for only $160 (Save $55!) Package 2 includes a 4/4 PE-04 shaped case and a 4/4 size Eastman brazilwood or fiberglass bow for only $80 (save $30)
